Simplify your multi-zone hydronic heating installation with a professionally assembled valve zone panel that brings the primary circulation, control and system components together in one organized layout.
Instead of using a separate circulator pump for every heating zone, this valve zone configuration uses one central circulator to move heated water throughout the system. Individual zone valves open and close based on thermostat demand, directing water only to the areas calling for heat.
The preassembled design reduces on-site assembly, keeps the mechanical system clean and organized, and provides easier access to important components during installation and future service.
Valve Zone Control Panel: One central circulator serves the connected heating zones while individual zone valves control where heated water is delivered. A compatible boiler or other hydronic heat source is required and sold separately.
Each heating area is controlled by its own thermostat and zone valve. When a thermostat calls for heat, the corresponding zone valve opens and signals the panel control that the zone is ready for circulation.
The central circulator then moves heated water from the boiler through the open zone. Zones that are not calling for heat remain closed, helping direct system flow only where it is needed.
Multiple zone valves can open at the same time, allowing the central circulator to serve several areas simultaneously. This design reduces the number of circulator pumps required and can lower equipment and electrical requirements compared with a pump-zoned system.
Valve zone panels are commonly used for residential radiant floor heating systems in homes, basements, garages, workshops, barns and other buildings with multiple temperature-control areas.
The standard-flow configuration is intended for small to moderate radiant heating systems with total coverage of up to approximately 1,600 square feet.
The high-flow configuration provides increased circulation capacity for larger systems with total coverage of up to approximately 4,600 square feet.
Published square-footage ranges are general selection guidelines. Final pump selection should be based on the system’s required flow rate, head loss, piping size, number of active zones, manifold configuration and connected PEX loop lengths.
Hydronic heating equipment should be selected using a professional heat loss calculation and complete system design. Boiler capacity, supply water temperature, system flow, pressure loss, PEX spacing, loop lengths, insulation and local climate should all be considered.
The boiler, thermostats, field-installed zone valves, manifolds, distribution piping and radiant heating loops are not included unless specifically stated in the selected product configuration.
Final piping, electrical connections, thermostat wiring, zone valve wiring, filling, purging, startup and commissioning should be completed by qualified professionals in accordance with applicable codes and equipment instructions.
